Lamps for My Family

Mar 5, 2016 - Mar 12, 2016

by Michael Neville

Spend a delightful evening with the unforgettable Irish Duddy family!

Local playwright, Michael Neville, pays homage to his large and colorful Irish family. Jack Duddy comes back home to a house full of relatives – all of them deceased and wanting to talk his ear off! In the wee hours of one cold Milwaukee night Jack lets them all have their say, through him and through the lamps that each of the family members held dear. One actor plays more than 20 characters based on the playwright’s real family in this funny and poignant look at a little known chapter of Irish history in Milwaukee. (Suited for all ages, but best enjoyed by those 16 and over.)

Featuring Mark Corkins:

Mark is excited to be able to share these unique Milwaukee stories with In Tandem audiences. Most recently he appeared in THE EIGHT as Dasher (First Reindeer: #1 from Day One . . .). He also appeared as Gideon in BURYING THE BONES. Mark was a long-time member of the resident acting company at the REP, where memorable productions include: SEASCAPE, END GAME, TRUE WEST, DRACULA, THE FOREIGNER, and KING LEAR.
