Season » Veronica's Position
May 4 - 20
Love, politics and art collide in this romantic comedy set in Washington, D.C. A dashing senator, a suave ex-husband, and a sexy female director force movie star Veronica into a delightfully uncomfortable position!
Veronica's Position mixes love, politics and art in a star-spangled comedy set in Washington, D.C. 1990. When two middle-aged movie superstars (a la Liz Taylor and Richard Burton) agree to co-star in a Broadway-bound stage production of Hedda Gabler, and she becomes engaged to a conservative U.S. Senator while her ex-husband becomes attracted to their sexy, young, female director, sparks begin to fly! When her gay assistant gets involved with a controversial photographic artist, everyone's relationship gets tangled and mangled until apolitical Veronica finally takes a stand.
Winner of: Festival of Emerging American Theatre; InterPlay International Play Festival; New Plays in America Festival; and, Center Theatre New Play Contest.
