Season » The Chosen
March 2 - 25
In 1940's Brooklyn, two Jewish boys, whose life paths are preordained, must weigh the cost of choosing their own destinies. In The Chosen, we see an unlikely friendship grow between Danny and Reuven, who are being raised in completely different households. As post-World War II tensions arise in their own cultures and in modern American society, will the young men follow in their fathers' footsteps or forge identities for themselves?
Winner of the Barrymore Award for Outstanding New Play, The Chosen was adapted for the stage from Chaim Potok's classic novel.
